Sclerotherapy - Spider Vein Treatment

Many people choose to address visible spider veins to achieve a clearer, more even appearance on the legs or face. Our team offers evaluation and treatment options designed to support your cosmetic goals with comfort and care.

What Are Spider and Varicose Veins?

Spider veins are small, superficial veins that may appear red, blue, or purple on the skin. Varicose veins are larger, more prominent veins that can become visible over time. During your consultation, we review your concerns and discuss cosmetic approaches that may help improve the appearance of these veins.

Understanding Venous Insufficiency

Some individuals may have underlying venous insufficiency, which occurs when larger veins do not move blood upward as efficiently. During your consultation, we evaluate your symptoms and may recommend an ultrasound to further assess vein function. When needed, we coordinate additional treatment options to support your care.

What is Sclerotherapy?

Sclerotherapy uses FDA‑approved Asclera® to treat small veins. During the procedure, we inject a targeted solution into the selected veins. Over the following weeks, the treated veins gradually fade in appearance. Each session lasts about 15–45 minutes, and most people find the experience comfortable and easy to tolerate.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Your treatment plan depends on the size, number, and location of your veins, as well as your desired cosmetic result. During your consultation, we outline the recommended number of sessions. Many individuals begin treatment in fall or winter to allow time for gradual fading before summer.

What Happens After My Sclerotherapy Treatments?

After your session, we apply compression stockings to support the healing process. We encourage you to walk for 20–30 minutes to promote circulation. Most people return to normal activities right away. We also review sun‑exposure guidelines and aftercare instructions to help you achieve the best cosmetic outcome.

Other Treatment Options

Sclerotherapy works well for spider veins and small varicose veins. For very small veins, we may recommend transdermal laser treatment. For larger veins or confirmed venous insufficiency, options such as vein ablation or micro‑phlebectomy may be appropriate. Our team coordinates these treatments when needed to ensure you receive the most suitable approach.

Costs are individualized: Each sclerotherapy treatment uses 1-3 vials; $200 per vial (Asclera 1%)

Packages are available: 3 Treatments (3 vials each treatment): $1350 (savings of $450)
